I was walking around with my brother, and by chance, I noticed that I was walking around while wearing my mother's shoes. For the most part, nobody noticed because they were not looking down. "People tend to look up unless given a reason to look down." I could only hope it was true. Over time, it proved accurate; people did not notice anything for one reason or another because they failed to look down. How fortunate. I'm not sure what kind of school this was, but the idea of an ocean liner college sounds exciting. The boat reminded me of something from a movie I watched called "Ghost Ship." The film is about a group of people who wake up on a mysterious ship with no memory of how they got there. Anywho, the first scene took place in a very spacious room; it appeared to be the length of several football fields with a ceiling at least five stories up. The walls were made of steel, while the floor seemed concrete.  The ship was sailing to the United States. I had no idea where we had been, and it didn't matter; the journey was already over. It was currently night, so many of us were getting ready to sleep on mats spread out across the concrete floor. We would be sleeping in a large open room full of shelves and pallets stacked ...

They were struggling to do it themselves, and I wanted to help. "You will float as long as there is air in your lungs." The basics for sure. The day was otherwise bright and beautiful; it was almost perfect. If only such a day were common. However, in the middle of its perfection and at the end of my lesson, things changed dramatically. The pool floor, its edges, and its shallows were gone in a moment. On top of that, the sky above seemed somehow distorted. Many of the cheerful swimmers just moments ago were now still and unmoving, drifting slowly and ominously towards an infinitely expansive floor as far as the eye could see. For the sake of context, let me tell you a bit about my work life. Bear with me; it's relevant. My first job was at a church doing janitorial and other facility care type work; my second and current job is as a stocker at Walmart.  This dream takes place after work at Walmart. I left the store frustrated because I couldn't figure out where to store a shipment of apples that we had received, something truly plentiful at our store in the waking world.   November 15th , 2021 ; 2 am-2:45 am I was in the midst of a discussion with my brother; he wanted to do some photography and drove us over to a nearby field.  As we parked by the field we ran into our mom, dad, sister, older sister, and nephew. Such an incident was due to a prior arrangement that had now taken precedent over our current plans.  Upon entering the building, which was very dark, it became suddenly apparent that my nephew was gone, and by looking for him, we found something else. As we searched the building, we came across a room with a sickly-looking older woman sitting up in a gurney, half surrounded by a blue curtain that appeared almost black because the lights were off. Using a flashlight on my phone to examine the room, I couldn't help but notice what looked like a mess of some kind on the floor to the right of the woman's bed. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be blood; in the center of the mess was a skull and a few bones that had been picked...

When I asked him what was wrong he started crying. I held his hand as he metaphorically pointed his finger at me. "You said you would call and I never heard back from you. I wanted to be your friend and waited but it never happened." I thanked him for his bravery and struggled with what to think and do. This really hurt because in the waking world I've heard this same thing from different people on multiple occasions. Worse still, it's true. My friends want my time and I don't know how to give it. Partway through the dream, as I walked through this store, the manager offered me a position as a sales associate. Please don't ask me why because I have no idea. He signals for a man over the sales team to come over and join us in our conversation and to figure out the needs that they currently have. The only available day that they had turned out to be a Thursday and only a Thursday. Not wanting to slow him down, I accepted the job and pulled out my phone so that we could exchange numbers.
