Sins of the Shepherd

Photo by Sam Carter on Unsplash November 29, 2021 The dream I'm about to write is a bit difficult to describe, not because of any otherworldly imagery but because of the nature of the material itself. TRIGGER WARNING ; If you are uncomfortable with themes of sexual abuse, I would recommend skipping this post. Please remember that this was a dream; this is not a personal account in any way. For the sake of context, let me tell you a bit about my work life. Bear with me; it's relevant. My first job was at a church doing janitorial and other facility care type work; my second and current job is as a stocker at Walmart.  This dream takes place after work at Walmart. I left the store frustrated because I couldn't figure out where to store a shipment of apples that we had received, something truly plentiful at our store in the waking world. I digress; feeling overwhelmed, I left, and by this, I mean that the scene suddenly changed. No longer was I at Walmart, but I was at my o...

Dark shadow

Photo by David Werbrouck on Unsplash He and his Shadow August 17, 2021 : This dream seemed to follow the life of a young man who was the son of affluent parents. His mother was Japanese, while his father was an Icelandic native. I'm not sure why that was important, but I wrote it down in my notes and decided to keep it.  Anywho, the young man found himself wandering through a big facility in the middle of a large and abandoned facility. He walked alone through the wide halls of the facility as if searching for somebody, anybody. He would soon learn that his present state of isolation was a gift that should have been cherished while it lasted. As the young man turned into another empty hall, the silhouette of a person caught my attention. I could see them, and he hadn't yet. They stood silently watching him from down the hall, their body veiled in shadow despite the presence of a light fixture hanging directly above their head. As the young man turned around, the shadowy figu...

Doors Ajar

May 26th I n this dream, I was with my brother, a young woman, and a young man as we explored a place called "The Unlocked Manor." It was an abandoned mansion in the middle of a wooded area that sat empty and inviting. We stayed the evening with several others; this includes students and teachers who used several rooms as a substitute for classrooms and offices. All the while, a storm raged outside, giving little reason to think of leaving. The woman from before sat with me as I tried to show her some of what I had written. She leaned back into my chest, and with one hand I massaged her belly, and I scrolled through some writing projects with the other. At times it felt like an oddly romantic moment, despite my writing having less than romantic themes. This woman stuck around throughout the dream as a central character while my brother and a few others hung around in the background exploring the room. Regardless of the appearance of such a scene, everybody in this room was...

As Above

Photo by Joe Shields on Unsplash A wooden cabin sat in isolation on a hill. The sky was colored grey; the ground was blanketed with a deep layer of snow. A once lit fireplace was blown out by freezing winds that passed through open windows and crumbling walls in an open living space. There are about six people there. While five of them stood outside of the room looking in, two of them stood face to face within. You heard those numbers right - something else was in this big open room. It stood across from a grandfather with a shotgun who was standing in the doorway; blood splattered upwards across the wall behind it, smiling cynically as it bleeds from grey skin, as it started to prop itself up with four arms. As the family began to pour into the room, thinking it was near to death, it suddenly sprang up and leaped out a window into the cold. The old man, against his family's wishes, stepped out in pursuit with an ax, ready to finish the job. As his family crept out behind him, the...

Predator Planet

Photo by NASA on Unsplash September 7; Nap I took a nap today and had a somewhat horrific dream - now I'm going to write about it. In the dream, a radio transmission was picked up on a spaceship from somewhere within the chaos and expanse of the void. The transmission was a call for help by the sole survivor of a planetary colonization mission. The planet in question was so beautiful, covered in lush exotic plant life and all manner of creatures. Under normal circumstances this would be great news for the colonist; in this case, however, it was not. Everything on the planet, including the trees, were carnivorous. The circular plant-based structure they created was nowhere near strong enough to protect them from what was beyond the plant fiber walls. On top of the fact that everything wanted to eat them, they had no food. As a substitute for hunting, they would have lots of kids, allow them to mature, and then take grown adults to tree- like structures that had white fleshy skin o...

Sleeping Giants

The artwork is provided by Isabella Baker August 26 In last night's dream, I found myself standing around an unnaturally deep pit in the backyard of a house. This pit looked completely bottomless. Somewhere far below was a being known as "the Wandering Mountain," my dream informed me. The image of a desert in the middle of a sandstorm came to mind; a huge mountain dominated the horizon. The mountain was moving slowly away; it was alive, it was sleeping, yet it was walking. This was only one of many that were down in this pit. Soon my body followed my mind into the pit where I found myself face to face with Nephilim, as they were servants of the Sleeping Mountain. There were maybe 25 Nephilim in all; they looked like tall hairy men with long white beards. A gate separated them from the mountain, and though it was sleeping, the mountain approached our tiny cage like a shark sniffing out hidden prey. B y conjuring a human form, the mountain began to walk among us.  I do not...

Neighbors Doll

Photo by Nong Vang on Unsplash August 20th ; ( My Perspective ): Last night, I had a dream where my family was getting ready to host relatives from out of town at our house. Our family was coming to help celebrate my autistic dream sibling's birthday in the next 2 days. My little brother loved sleeping downstairs on the floor, buried under stuffed animals with a dark blue blanket. He slept right next to a Christmas tree that was fully lit in this small sitting room. He chose the floor over the couch. ( Not My Perspective ): Meanwhile, the Home Alone movie guys went next door to try and rob our neighbor. She was presumed to be out of town; the timing was no less than perfect. As they slunk through her backyard and slowly approached the backdoor, it had a warning on it in big letters. "Thieves stay away" was scrawled in big letters on the door. They decided to ignore this first and only warning. The door slowly creaked open, and for just a second, a tall and pale woman loo...
